What is SEO, in plain language?
SEO (search engine optimisation) means your pages are built, technically and in content, so that Google understands them easily and shows them high up. The Managed Repairs repair system does this as standard.
In plain language: sitemap.xml and robots.txt tell Google which pages your site has and that it may crawl them. Structured data tells Google exactly what a page means, for example "this is a repair service at this price". Core Web Vitals measure how fast your site loads on a customer's phone, which counts towards your position in Google.
What is GEO, and what does IndexNow do?
GEO (generative engine optimisation) is about AI assistants. More and more people don't just search in Google, they ask ChatGPT or Copilot: "which shop in Rotterdam repairs an iPhone screen?" Those assistants need to know that your page exists and is up to date.
IndexNow notifies search engines and AI assistants the moment you add or change a page, instead of waiting until they happen to come across it. That way new pages are picked up faster, for example as soon as you add an expertise page for a newly launched device.
